Job Summary
Volvo Group is conducting a digital transformation to our IT landscape for 2030 digitalization strategy.

We are now seeking a Solution Architect/Senior Software Developer who has the drive and passion to contribute to our digital transformation and who sees that the key to success is to develop the organization and its people to meet future business challenges.

Your main activities and responsibilities
As a Solution Architect, you will lead and coordinate architectural work within a cross-functional agile team.

You will collaborate with different teams in the delivery portfolio for Volvo Commercial Solutions in Latin America, helping to define and develop the strategic and tactical direction for the system architecture.

As part of a global unit, you will actively cooperate with various stakeholders with ease in a multi-cultural environment.

You will be involved in designing and maintaining the architecture views, models, and target architecture for the solutions and drive the work to identify and reduce the technical debt.

You will also contribute to the implementation (hands on) of our software components.

You will stay up-to date in architectural trends & relevant industry models and work close to both developers and system analysts in the team.

Required competencies

Ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
Customer focused, teamwork skills and a wellstructured approach.
Strong analytical skills and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
Handson programming experience in C#.NET.
Proficient in Microservice design.

Preferred skills

Container service experience (for example: Docker, Openshift, Kubernetes).
Handson experience in at least one major public cloud provider (Azure, AWS or GCP).

Desired skills

Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
Knowledge on security scanning tools (for example: SonarQube, Blackduck, Fortify, etc).

Background

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer science or equivalent.
A passion for IT.
Solid work experience within SW Architecture.
Intermediate English skills (Written & Spoken).
