Your Responsibilities - A snapshot of your Day


The Assistant Security Manager:

  • Contributes to the security of Siemens Energy personnel, assets, and operations in Brazil.
  • Supports the implementation and compliance with Siemens Energy security governance requirements, including but not limited to travel and project security, security incident management, crisis management and business continuity, asset protection and physical security, executive and event protection, situation and threat analysis.
  • Provides tactical guidance, operational support, and security consulting to Siemens Energy local Management, businesses, employees, the Country Security Manager, and works in close cooperation with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Promotes security awareness, conducts trainings and delivers proportionate and costeffective security measures to support the achievement of business objectives, as well as seeking to simplify and improve processes and procedures.

The holder of this position is responsible for conducting risk assessments, defining risk mitigation measures, conducting security investigations, and aligning project activities with all internal standards.

He also provides consulting and implementation support among the topics of Security Compliance, Travel and Workplace Security, Asset Protection, Incident & Crisis Management / Business Continuity.


Your profile:


Relevant academic degree, a professional qualification from a recognized security authority or appropriate security experience through working within law enforcement, regulatory enforcement, military, academic, or equivalent experience.


5+ years of experience working in corporate security or a similar environment in high or medium-risk countries, including practical experience of project management, incident, and crisis management, in a multinational company, a security company, or similar experience.

In-depth knowledge about the political and security situation in Brazil is an advantage.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, strong networking, negotiating, and influencing skills.

Native or bilingual Portuguese is mandatory and excellent command of English. Spanish is an advantage.


Ability to prioritize tasks and to manage workload in an effective manner with mínimal direct supervision and flexibility in managing multiple and diverse tasks.


Ability to analyze and assimilate information from diverse sources, including local and international media outlets, social media outlets, local information sources, etc.


Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in time critical situations, willingness to work outside of regular working hours in time critical situations.

Sensitive and responsive to the needs of different religious, ethnic, tribal, and cultural groups.

Understanding of development and implementation of Security technologies (CCTV, Access control, VMS, etc).

Willingness to travel extensively (>20%), including high-risk areas.

Proven integrity and high personal standards of behaviour.


Experience in working in a multinational and multicultural environment, as well as proven interpersonal skills and ability to successfully engage with diverse audiences.
