What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure:

  • This position will give you a chance to work with cuttingedge technologies such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Terraform, and more

Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop RESTful APIs for cloud services using AWS and industry best practices.
  • Ensure the APIs are secure, scalable, performant, welldocumented, and adhere to best practices.
  • Document the APIs using tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI.
  • Collaborate with other software developers and product owners to understand the requirements and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the APIs or the cloud infrastructure.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and developments in AWS and cloud computing, continuously improving software design and development processes.
  • Implement, deploy, and maintain development, staging & production environments for cloudbased AWS microservices architecture.
  • Contribute to a healthy and collaborative team spirit within the large, interdisciplinary product teams based in United States and Switzerland as well as other Siemens Building Products locations worldwide.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in software design and development.
  • 1+ years of experience in working with AWS services, especially Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Terraform, etc.
  • Strong programming skills with experience in , Python, Golang, or Angular.
  • Good understanding in SOA architectures.
  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs using AWS or other platforms.
  • Experience in using tools such as Swagger or OpenAPI for API documentation.
  • Experience in using tools such as Git, Gitlab CI/CD or Jenkins for version control and continuous integration.
  • Experience in using tools such as Postman or Curl for API testing.
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills in English, with the ability to produce high quality written documentation.
  • A solutionoriented and independent working style.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • Good people skills and experience in project management.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
