Amazon Brazil is seeking an experienced strategic, self-motivated, creative and analytical communications professional with a proven track record of developing effective consumer communications programs for large, fast-moving, global organizations.

The Senior Manager, Consumer Communications for Brazil will create awareness across our key audiences, develop and implement content, channels and processes for local programs for Amazon's core Retail business, including shopping events and Amazon Prime.

This role will collaborate closely with the business and key stakeholders such as Public Policy, Marketing, Legal, and communications leaders to launch and provide on-going strategic communications support for key services and initiatives.

They should also have experience in corporate reputation, as well as crisis and issues management.

Key job responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage Stores communications, including all strategic communications plans for core retail areas covering retail strategy, consumer campaigns, news generation and product placement
  • Develop industry leading integrated Consumer campaigns around our biggest and most meaningful key retail moments (notably Prime Day and Black Friday)
  • Support strategic launches
  • Drive communications strategies to support our membership program Amazon Prime
  • Successfully manage complex, fastmoving and unexpected communications challenges and manage issues/media inquiries related to the Retail business in Amazon Brazil
  • Write strategic plans, messaging and press releases; pitch and secure toptier media, including print, broadcast and online outlets
  • Act as a business partner to Amazon retail category leadership teams across key areas
  • Deliver strategic communications counsel to internal executives on both short and longterm challenges and opportunities
  • Build excellent relationships with key media outlets
  • Effectively represent Amazon as spokesperson
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams globally
  • Manage external PR and content development agencies

  • Proactive in the extreme enjoys taking responsibility and making things happen
