Position Summary
The Operations Manager is accountable for Warehousing activities of the business with an emphasis on EHS, Service and Quality

The Operations Manager for Clinical Trials Division must have Logistics experience ideally in Pharmaceutical industry

We are looking for professionals with degrees in Industrial Engineering, Administration or Pharmacy. Postgraduate degree on Logistics, Six Sigma or lean would be a plus

Should be fluent in English. Spanish would be a plus


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all of the activities performed in the Wearhouse guaranteeing the achievement of Operations goals and objectives.
  • Lead Operations team, as well as coordinate activities with other functions.
  • Evaluate operational performance and create plans to adjust to targets.
  • Conduct Deviations investigations and action plans. Receive Quality and Customers audits.
  • Review performance against operating plans and standards. Provide reports and interpretation of results to direct reports to shape actions.
  • Ensure Business Unit regulatory compliance for the warehousing of pharmaceutical products and make recommendations for the improvement of policies and procedures.
  • Drive a quality mindset within the area; ensure resources and processes support delivery of high quality and service.
  • Foster and maintain a customer focused culture throughout the area.
  • Provides leadership to the team through effective communications, coaching, training and development.
  • Direct, monitor and effectively appraise the performance of all direct reports recommending or providing training and development activities where appropriate.
  • Identify resource needs in line with defined strategies to grow and leverage the business
  • Select and maintain a qualified team in all directly reporting positions.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
  • Cooperate and engage with other leaders of the businessto achieve business unit and divisional goals.
  • Lead and promote a safety and efficient environment.
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

Industrial Engineering or similar; Pharmacy or Business Administration. Advanced certification in Logistics, Six Sigma, Lean, MBA are a plus

Fluent in English, Spanish a plus


Minimal requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, ideally in pharmaceutical Industry and 3 years of management experience.
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, people development skills

Preferred requirements

  • Prior management experience, ideally in a matrix environment.
  • Experience in the 3rd Party Logistics industry, with Operations responsibility.
