We are currently seeking an experienced Ablebody Seafarer (AB) to join our team on board the SKANDI AFRICA vessel. As an AB, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the vessel.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ablebody Seafarer (AB)
  • Rule II/ profic. in Surv. Craft & Resc. Boats Cert (CESS)
  • Valid STCW certification
  • Proficient in English language
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks
  • Familiarity with maritime safety procedures and regulations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the safe navigation and operation of the vessel
  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as directed by the Chief Officer
  • Handle mooring lines and assist with cargo operations
  • Participate in safety drills and emergency response activities
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the deck area
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations
