We are looking for a Field Sales Representative that will handle the following:

  • Establish and manage pricing guidelines for respective trade lines according to BU policy.
  • Tender and bids filing and negotiation.
  • Act as a decision maker for marketing decisions affecting the profitability of the vessels within assigned services.
  • Identify trends and anticipate problems related to the trades;
  • Setting commercial targets for the countries and monitoring countries' performance
  • Setting the required customer/commodity mix in order to maximize the trade profitability
  • Act as a decision maker for marketing decisions affecting the profitability of the vessels within assigned services
  • Planning the yearly budget of the trade
  • Setting weekly commercial forecast
  • Setting sales targets on quarterly basis
  • Analyze the business environment of the trade: trends, competition, opportunities, commodities
  • Analyze ZIM position in the trade: Market Share, Pricing, Product

Requirements:


  • Education in Business Administration and/or Foreign Trade / International Relations;
  • Experience on how the general import/export processes work and also on the specific carrier/FFW business;
  • 34 years' experience in commercial shipping activity in trade functions or pricing is highly preferred;
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Level
  • Excel);
  • Very good command of English Language (Reading, Writing, Speaking);
  • Negotiation abilities;
