The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a
Global Logistics Manager to join our company. This is a permanent position.

As a Global Logistics Manager you will:

In charge, together with Supply Chain and Operations when appropriate, of the entire "to market" logistics supply for Vale Basic Metals;
Oversee the performance of shipping logistics in all countries where Vale Basic Metals sells its products;
Forecasting, budgeting, consolidating, and reporting logistics information;
Development of logistics standards including controls for the business compliance monitoring;
Development of logistics solutions to support new business projects/operations by working with project and company strategy teams;
Develop contingencies and execute plans to ensure that Vale can make its product available in the market in case of strikes, natural disasters, and any other event that may impact the normal course of business;
Advise and provide logistics needs to the Basic Metals Supply Department, work closely with supplies in executing storage service contracts;
Management and optimization of business storage/handling facilities and the products contained in them.

About You:

Previous and significant experience with all modes of transportation road, rail, sea, and air in a global context (compliance with national and international regulations);
Strong negotiation and communication skills;
Decisionmaking abilities;
Leadership skills;
Customerfocused and highly collaborative;
Ability to handle multiple tasks and demands with varying levels of urgency;
Fluente english is mandatory.
