Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times.

Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes.

AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.

About the role

What you need to know:

Handle Equipment Breakdown claims from initial notification through to final settlement daily within an agreed level of authority and within service standards
review notices of claim and documents provided by clients
review and input reserves

oversee work of vendors, including lawyers, accountants, experts and loss adjusters; communicate with clients, service providers and brokers to obtain information in relation to claims, to explain claims requirements and decisions, and resolve appeals and complaints.

work closely with underwriters and distribution to develop a thorough understanding of the business and contribute to "best practice" overall

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree
Strong written & verbal communication
Advanced English Skills is a plus
Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy
Strong knowledge in technical claims topics (mainly equipment breakdown claims);
Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
Ability in negotiation, mediation and alternative dispute resolution;
Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement.
