Here's how:


  • Present, promote, and sell Telus Ag services to prospective customers.
  • Segment and subsegment the market in the assigned territory and create a structured approach to prospecting and selling.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer and employee relationships.
  • Provide feedback regarding customer usage to Agronomy and Compliance Sales, Product Management, and Marketing.
  • Develop a support and sales model/team that is scalable based on current business and that will expand as the territory grows.
  • Keep all customer and activity information live and uptodate in Salesforce.
  • Provide feedback to the Agronomy and Compliance marketing team on content required by prospects.

Key Competencies:


  • Perform the proper discovery to uncover a prospect's pain points and determine buying criteria and timeline.
  • Ability to control a sale from the cradle to the grave.
  • Strong ability to manage objections from the field, ask the right questions and propose product solutions
  • Demonstrate knowledge of software platforms frequently used in the agribusiness sector
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills in group settings as well as webbased.
  • Ability to establish good relationships with customers and internal team members.
  • Ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities, and a team.

What you bring to the role:

  • 10+ years of experience in sales and/or business development.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated track record of sales and business development achievement in a handson environment.
  • Experience managing sales team and other professionals
  • Must be equally comfortable selling to infield locations as well as to Clevel executives
  • Proven knowledge and network of agribusiness companies preferably agronomic service companies, fertilizer, and crop protection retail companies, agricultural cooperatives, and food companies.

Work Environment:


  • Remote working skills, including virtual meeting and communication tools
  • Travel required to meet with customers as needed. In addition, the position may require occasional travel to industry events, trade shows, and team meetings.
