ABOUT THE ROLE:


Are you passionate about data analytics and want to join a dynamic team that is driving data-driven decision making in HR? The People Analytics and Projects team at VTEX is looking for a talented and skilled Data Specialist to join our Analytics arm.

You will be responsible for supporting the People Core team in designing robust strategic projects and developing data analysis that helps us be more assertive and data-driven.

The People Analytics and Projects team at VTEX aims to operate as a laboratory focused on conducting applied research and development within People initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE:


We are looking for a Data Specialist with:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in People Analytics or related field.
  • Experience with Redshift preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience with statistics and Python/R.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to ensure appropriate data/tools/dashboards to measure execution and enable deeper analysis.
  • A passion for data integrity and experience in data cleaning, organization, and automation.
  • Problemsolving skills and the ability to implement strategies that address the central challenge we face by first understanding the problem and its potential solutions.
  • Project planning skills, including the ability to plan robust projects with support, including project scope, schedule, resources, and costs.
  • A risk management mentality, capable of identifying and assessing risk and considering tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex ideas, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, build consensus, and ensure alignment toward shared goals.
  • Task management skills and eagerness to accept more responsibility and seek opportunities to grow and develop.

As a Data Specialist, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee our Employee Satisfaction Survey, including data collection, Pulses integration, analysis, and presentations to stakeholders.
  • Build and track people metrics indicators, such as dashboards in Power BI. You will be the owner of the entire process, including benchmarking, research, and discovery with stakeholders.
  • Ensure operational excellence and consistency across data reporting by automating processes and maintaining data integrity.
  • Provide actionable insights based on data to multiple stakeholders from diverse teams, such as recruiters, people partners, and the overall management team.
  • Develop and prioritize a backlog of data visualization projects to help stakeholders make informed decisions.
  • Develop and manage relationships with stakeholders and vendors, with guidance from your manager.
  • Support the Data team on Redshift Wave 2.0 and with the collection and prioritization of data requests.
  • Foster a culture of documentation and asynchronous communication/decisionmaking within the team.
