Além de saber executar todas as tarefas do auxiliar de produção o operador tem as seguintes tarefas:01- Conferir o material que irá entrar em processo, conforme ordem de serviço para manter a rastreabilidade do produto e seguir o FIFO;
02- Identificar em qual máquina irá produzir, fazer a limpeza da mesma para evitar contaminações e abastecer a máquina com material que irá produzir;
03- Identificar o produto seguindo o plano de controle e preencher toda a documentação requerida para aquele processo.

04- Inspecionar os produtos que são de sua competência, conforme instrução de trabalho e plano de controle;
05- Operar a máquina, observando sempre os sub-lotes para evitar desvios de processo ou produto;
06- Fazer pequenas manutenções (PMPO) e troca de ferramentas de fáceis;
07- Ajudar o preparador nos set-up rápidos (quando é só troca de ordem de serviços e não é necessário mexer em ajuste da máquina);
08- Parar a máquina ao observar um desvio e avisar ao preparador;
09- Realizar auditorias ( Escalonada), mantém o 5S no setor;
10- Preencher formulário de requisição de materiais e solicitação de manutenção;
11- Pesar o material no final de turno ou ordem de serviço.

12- Lavar ou tamboreiar os materiais de acordo com o processo;
13- Regular a máquina e tirar o fator da balança que embala os produtos;
14- Fazer a embalagem e emitir a etiqueta que identifica o produto.

15- Disponibilizar os materiais para apontamento.

Nota:

Caso o sub-lote estiver reprovado o preparador deve separá-lo e identificá-lo com a ficha amarela, e avisar a qualidade.

Acompanhar as ações relativas a gestão da qualidade, orientando os subordinados quanto a observância dos procedimentos técnicos e da qualidade.
