Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) brings together the Company's best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization.

DMED is responsible for the P&L management and all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines.

DMED also manages operations of the Company's streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+ and Disney+ Hotstar; and domestic broadcast and cable television networks.


How you will contribute to our magical experience?:
In this role, the
_LATAM Sr Payroll Analyst_ will be responsible for:

  • The LATAM Payroll Analyst processes payroll for 6 countries and business units as part of a regional LATAM Time and Payroll HUB team.
  • Ensure that employees receive accurate remuneration on the published pay dates, thereby ensuring that the Company meets its contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate relationship between third party payroll provider and Disney internal partners to ensure timely and accurate payroll process.
  • Will also be responsible to ensure that all fixed and variable payroll related data is captured from multiple sources and flows into Payroll vendor systems via upload template process, e.g. starters, leavers, variable pay etc.
  • Provide Payroll support across multiple legal entities.
  • Ensure payroll inputs are loaded time and entered correctly.
  • Gather payroll information, e.g process flows, SOP, policies and procedures from in scope legal entities to facilitate payroll knowledge transfer to LATAM Time and Payroll HUB
  • Assist in collecting company historical employees' data and information collection from the current Company payroll systems or the current payroll services provider
  • Process all tax forms and tax related input in to Payroll vendor system in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all statutory forms are processed in a timely manner.
  • Provide complete, accurate and timely periodical employees' data and other payroll input data in the required format for payroll vendor
  • Review and approve completeness and accuracy of the payroll calculation outputs by payroll vendor
  • Approve monthly, quarterly, annual and other periodicity reports to the management of the Company, local authorities and other recipients
  • Review, approve and upload monthly payroll general ledger journal entry to ERP
  • To resolve all assigned payroll related queries from employees and legal entity stakeholders in a professional and timely manner or escalate where appropriate.
  • To resolve legal entity concerns about the payroll process provided by the payroll provider
  • To perform manual calculations for partmonth and backdated payments where necessary.
  • To calculate manual / out of cycle payments where appropriate ensuring that the payment is correctly accounted for.
  • To analyze the variance report providing a reason for all variances above the material limit set by the Payroll Manager.
  • To actively participate in all team events such as meetings and training exercises.
  • Ensure Payroll procedures are kept up to date and identify efficiencies and identify continuous improvements
  • To assist and support with wider payroll audits and general projects as required

_ What we need from you be part of this story:_

  • Experience with multiple payroll vendors support various legal entities in LATAM countries
  • Previously processed high volume payrolls in a comparable organization.
  • Proven experience of reviewing and developing payroll procedures and policies.
  • Experience of dealing with expenses and benefits and has a good working knowledge of employee taxes.
  • TMF Payroll vendor processing experience is preferred. Credible, proactive and trusted thoughtpartner who has built relationships and delivered results
  • Ability to thrive within ambiguity and drive complex projects
  • A team player with ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills treats people with respect; is approachable, open and direct; develops effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Support multiple languages (Spanish and Portuguese) English is a plus

  • High degree of PC literacy with advanced Excel (Pivots and VLookups).
