Boeing Entity is seeking a
Senior Project Management Specialist, reporting to the
Director, Global Safety Strategy, working out of the Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.


The
Senior Project Management Specialist will support the development and implementation of the Regional Safety Strategies for both Latin America & Caribbean, and North America regions.

This role is an integral part of the Boeing team.

Success in this role requires strong integration skills and effective verbal and written communication with all levels of the organization.

The role will frequently interact with the Global Safety & Regulatory Affairs regional leaders, Global Aviation Safety Initiative leaders, Regional Safety Committee members, as well as the Senior Safety Specialist within the region and collaborate with other project managers on the global team.

Projects will range from optimization and effectiveness proposals, managing action plans for the Regional Safety Committee, and influencing change for continuous improvements in safety in the air transport system in the region.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Performs project management duties (i.e. planning, managing, reporting) for delivery against key safety initiatives
  • Monitors project execution and prioritized projects based on Regional Safety Committee commitments
  • Coordinates Regional Safety Committee logistics with Sr Manager, Global System Safety
  • Communicates openly and effectively with other roles and skillsets to address any issues, concerns or roadblocks as well as identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement
  • Identifies and tracks risks and mitigation plans for key safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with all members of the Regional Safety Committee to develop and execute the Regional Safety strategy
  • Collaborates with internal CASO, GASI and GS&RA leadership to monitor actual resources required against released budget and support reporting requirements

Required Qualifications
(Required Skills/Experience)

  • Must have senior experience executing project management activities (i.e. definition and planning of activities for complex comprehensive projects)
  • Must have complete ability to create project schedules which identify time frames for key project milestones, independently identify project resource requirements, collaborate with others on more complex projects assigned, and assist others in complex largescale project
  • Bachelor and Post-Secondary Education
  • Must have advanced/fluent proficiency in reading, writing and speaking in the English language
  • Must be legally able to work in Brazil

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


  • Experience in an aviation industry
  • Experience with Agile tool and dashboard deployment (Salesforce, Tableau, etc.)
  • Fluency in Spanish will be considered a plus
  • Prefer completion of, or enrolment towards Project Management Professional certification
  • Knowledge of PMBOK framework, agile methods and critical chain applied to project management
