Government Affairs Sr Manager to be in
São Paulo .

**Purpose:
**You will be responsible for: - Identify issues (at the federal legislative and executive branches) that are relevant to J&J's franchises; assess business impact of proposed initiatives, provide input to the GA director

  • Develop & execute advocacy strategies to advance Medtech's business interests; map key stakeholders, identify their positions, prepare background papers and talking points
  • Prepare and coordinate a proactive Government Affairs schedule with the involvement and participation of the Government Affairs Director, the General Manager and relevant staff
  • Assist the Government Affairs Director with the management of the industry trade association; participate in Committes, attend conferences and meetings, gather critical information, and communicate company position when appropriate
  • Help liaison with government officials
  • Respond promptly to internal customer requests; participate in the planning and daytoday operations of the Government Affairs Office
  • Establish trusting relationships with policymakers and NGOs to support public policy
  • Support market access and stategic affairs functions in initiatives that drive better public health, health outcomes, and patient safety
  • Help build alliances and coalitions with healthcare stakeholders including patient associations, key opinion leaders, professional societies, industry, NGOs, and healthcare providers
  • Support the development of corporate reputation initiatives
  • Help identify trends in public policy that could impact the company positively or negatively; lay out rationale and response
  • Provide insigths (from a government point of view) in a crisis management situation

Qualifications:


  • 8+ years of government affairs experience; related experience working at regulatory bodies, international agencies, government or trade associations accepted; as well as a combination of both
  • 35 years of experience in the health sector and in the corporate environment a plus
  • Proven, tangible success in driving proactive public policy/government relations initiatives
  • Experience in fields of policy, legal, or economics, understanding of the political environment
  • Proven track record with impeccable ethics history
  • Experience developing partnerships with NGOs, academia, and think tanks a plus
  • English advanced proficiency level
