OSM Thome is currently seeking a 3rd Officer (3/O) to join our team on board the XT Honesty, a Tanker - Shuttle vessel.

The position is located in Brazil, with the joining port in Rio De Janeiro. The vessel is flagged under Liberia.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Officer in the safe and efficient operation of the vessel
  • Maintain navigational watch and ensure compliance with all safety and navigation procedures
  • Monitor and maintain the vessel's navigational equipment
  • Conduct regular safety drills and ensure crew members are familiar with emergency procedures
  • Assist in the loading and discharging of cargo
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to navigation and cargo operations

Requirements:


  • Valid STCW certification, including Officer in Charge of a Navigational Watch (OICNW)
  • Minimum of [number] years of experience as a 3rd Officer on Tanker vessels
  • Proficient in the use of navigational equipment and software
  • Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in a multicultural environment
  • Fluent in English language, both written and spoken
