Within the Freight Equipment Organization, this position will influence cross functional and cross product teams to identify and implement process and product cost improvement opportunities supported by the Program Management team on diesel locomotive programs.

Essential Responsibilities:

Partner with other cross functional leaders and business partners to drive cross functional transformation projects to support reduction of Product & Program cost
Partner with Reliability, Operations, Services and Quality teams to drive improvements across the geographies and product lines
Support a crossfunctional team from Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to meet all project execution milestones (such as tollgates, design reviews, PPAP's, part creation, and supplier engagements)
Identify risks to project execution, schedule, or valuation and facilitate the mitigation of those risks with the appropriate team
Support the cross functional teams in developing project budgets and timelines, to ensure the resources are available to complete the project within budget and on time to meet program expectations / requirements
Facilitate communication within the team, as needed, to achieve milestones and professionally manage communications with internal / external project stakeholders

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree
Experience in an Engineering or Project Management role
Strong understanding of the engineering design process
Strong understanding of supply chain and shop operations
Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time as needed
Advanced/Fluent English skills
