About the position


We are hiring someone who will have a leading role in pushing us to innovate and drive the adoption of our products.

Specifically, this person will be assigned to lead the development of our asset reliability and predictive maintenance product inside our laboratory client, MODEC.


This person will be based in Rio de Janeiro with a flexible work model, though they will be expected to interact with clients and users face-to-face every week.


As a Product Owner at Shape, you will
:


  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for your product.
  • Estimate potential impact in terms of one or more of the product's performance metrics.
  • Prototype and validate potential solutions for each prioritized opportunity.
  • Collaborate with the team to build prototypes and validate hypotheses with users before moving to development.
  • Work with the technical team to ensure that all potential solutions have their development effort estimated.
  • Ensure that the solutions are being delivered with excellence:
  • Ensure that every activity is recorded inside the project management tool of choice, with all the necessary information up to date: context, objective, expected impact and effort, the definition of done, and status.
  • Guarantee that the backlog is always prioritized, balancing impact and effort.
  • Organize deliveries as an execution plan with the support of the technical team, and make sure that any updates are reflected in the project management tool.
  • Keep constant communication with the team to make sure that they understand what needs to be done, are unblocked, and progressing as expected.
  • Validate that deliveries are correct and aligned with the definition of done before delivering to clients.
  • Track metrics to assess that the team's deliveries are having the expected impact, and, if not, write the postmortem and correction plans.
  • Conduct workshops, training, and other interactions with users and clients to collect feedback and drive adoption.
  • Keep chainofcommand informed of progress and risks, and work with them to make sure that all teams in the vertical are working in sync.
  • Collaborate with Shape's product leadership to guarantee that the team's direction is in line with the company's strategy.
  • Coach and develop the more junior colleagues in their teams.
  • Manage the team's performance based on quantitative metrics.

Requirements:


  • Complete degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering (or similar field).
  • Past experience in industrial operations/maintenance sectors, with a project/product management role.
  • Proficient in English.

Desireble

  • Experience with the industrial IT systems relevant to a predictive maintenance project, such as CMMS (e.g., SAP PM) and PIMS (e.g., AVEVA PI System).
  • Programming and data analysis skills (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
