Role Summary:
Flowserve is looking for an engaged manager to lead the Quality Group. This position is responsible for driving initiatives to improve quality performance through continuous improvement (CI).


Quality Manager will be responsible for the Site QA/QC program and will play an active leadership role in highly engineered manufacturing environment.

Quality Manager will also lead or support multiple of initiatives including, but not limited to, CI initiatives related to Quality KPIs, QMS improvements, supplier quality management processes and internal audit.


Responsibilities:


Engages with local, corporate leadership teams, managing KPIs aimed at meeting customer, regulatory and organizational requirements to ensure product quality, contractual compliance and customer satisfaction.


Manages the Rio plant QA team and QC team to ensure proper balance of meeting quality goals and operational execellence.


Oversees effective quality documentation and implementation of the QMS to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and standards set by corporate/divisional policies.


Partners with the leadership team to ensure that individuals performing functions that affect quality are trained and demonstrate appropriate skills and performance results.

Approval of all corporate Quality system access requests and annual access audits.

Maintain corporate corrective action system to analyze and conduct corrections of non-conforming conditions and complaints.


Implements performance measures necessary to effectively assess organizational performance and trends in quality of products, services, customer satisfaction, and the cost of quality.

Uses performance evaluation results to drive improvement efforts using Lean/CI tools.


In conjunction with supply chain resources, develops and initiates methods to qualify, certify and maintain domestic or low cost region suppliers to ISO 9001 standards.

Responsible for developing and managing the Material inspection process.


Collaborating with our company's quality leadership, you will champion the implementation of the quality plan and quality management system (QMS) at the site level to achieve overall success of quality objectives.


Using your demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem solving skills, you will be able to lead this team to improve Rio plant products and services through the implementation of ISO 9001, root cause analysis (RCA), prevention methods, and CI techniques (i.e.

Lean, Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control).


Exhibits strong leadership by making time to connect with associates, creating a great environment for everyone to work in and help develop the team to reach their collective and individual potential.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or related field) and 8-10 years of relevant experience

Experience in quality leadership

Demonstrated experience managing/supervising a quality team

Knowledge of ISO 9001, ASME, API, and other relevant industry codes and standards

Based on business or customer needs, you may experience 15% to 20% travel, which may include international travel

Managerial experience with ISO 9001:2015 quality systems (certification audits.

Skill in team oriented problem solving (RCA/CA/PA tools, able to teach and train).

Skill in data analysis and quality KPI performance management.

Skill in organization and planning.

Able to understand P&L / finance.

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Bilingual English, business conversation.


Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing quality

Master Black Belt certification and experience

Experience in Supplier Quality Management
