Job Summary

The Partner Sales Director for Latin America:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the LATAM Channel sales organization and is responsible for developing and maintaining the Channel sales function. The Director ensures revenue growth by working with Partners to scale the impact of the LATAM Field Sales Team.
  • Will report to the Vice President of Channel Sales for the Americas, with a strong dotted line to the Regional Vice President of Latin America Sales, and be part of the Americas Channel Sales Leadership Team.
  • Will engage with the partner community Field Sales Leadership, and sales teams, in support of joint sales to optimize partnerconnected deal pursuits, resolve challenges, and manage escalations.

What you will be doing

  • Lead the team that onboards enables and manages Partners.
  • Achieve sales targets on each one of the Territories
  • Generate incremental revenues by working with the partner community
  • Coach each direct report to achieve their personal quarterly and annual bookings quota, new logo objectives, targets for partner deal registrations, funnel development, and quarterly MBOs.
  • Develop and maintain a 3x quota pipeline
  • Architect largescale deals in the form of Account Plans working with Partners
  • Instill a disciplined cadence of partner pipeline reviews and monthly review calls with the Partner Sales Managers and Partners.
  • Work closely with Global Partner Programs, Partner Marketing, Partner Enablement, Global Solutions Architects, Systems Engineers, and Customer Service Managers to deliver a superior experience to our Partners and our employees.
  • Contribute insights to Equinix channel sales policy development and process improvements.
  • Have meaningful Clevel interactions with Customers and the Partner community.
  • Develop 2 success stories by quarter
  • Focus on the development of Partnerships in Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru
  • Ensure the team is educated on allianceconnected value propositions with companies like Dell, HPE, Cisco, and others.
  • Interview, hire, onboard, train, and inspire partner sales employees as required.
  • Manage budget

What you should have

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with large experience and proven success in channel sales for technology, internet, network, data center, hyper scaler, or cloudbased products or services.
  • Solid experience in sales management experience in high technology with depth in channel sales across multiple channel types.
  • Proven track record of driving channel sales overlay quota attainment across a team.
  • Skilled in departmental management, performance management, and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated success in developing large global channel partners from the ground up.
  • Superb written communication skills.
  • Clevel relationships throughout Latin America
  • Superior verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technology features into business outcomes.
  • Presentation skills to audiences large and small; highly articulate ambassador for Equinix Partner Sales.
  • Strong initiative, organization, and prioritization skills with the proven ability to work in a selfdirected environment.
  • Flexible, innovative, and able to respond appropriately in a timecritical environment.
  • Talented crossfunctional collaborators can readily develop trusted relationships and rapport.
  • Experience driving integrated solutions that bundle partner services to create joint offerings.
  • Ability to creatively contribute to and coach employees on developing partnerled gotomarket plans to promote joint solution awareness among the partner's enduser customer base.
  • Indepth knowledge of the internet and telecommunications industry, cloud, financial services, and digital content/media.
