The Regional Market Access Manager will be responsible to implement the strategy to maximise regional market access, especially of new products.


He/She will be the main contact person for hospital pharmacists, HCP's and other key stakeholders in the hospital sector focusing on health policy, health economics, economic and market access issues.

Additionally he/she will be supporting internal teams on market access and reimbursement issues in the hospital sector.


KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and maintain strategic and trusting relationships with hospital pharmacists, medical controllers and health economic decisionmakers in the hospital as well as regional political decisionmakers
  • Identification and segmentation of key regional stakeholders and definition of individual needs with the help of account planning and management
  • Continuously analyse and monitor the current and future regional and local market access landscape to derive strategic insights for market access activities.
  • Analysis and evaluation of relevant changes in the German health care system, especially in the field of pharmaceuticals, and preparation of decision papers (especially in the case of pharmaceutical agreements in the hospital sector).
  • Contacting the respective stakeholders as part of the omnichannel approach
  • Proactively monitor and communicate key trends as well as networks that are crucial for market access in the hospital sector and in coordination with management as a basis for discussions and possible action planning
  • Continuous support to internal teams on market access and reimbursement issues
  • Development and implementation of discussion rounds and trainings on topics of drug reimbursement in the hospital sector for inhouse and field staff.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Completed medical, scientific or economic studies or/and status as pharmaceutical consultant/pharmaceutical representative (f/m/d) according to 75 AMG and additional training in the field of health economics/policy or similar.
  • At least 23 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or several years of practical work experience in a comparable position in the life science environment
  • Good knowledge of the most important regional stakeholders (local payers, hospital pharmacists as well as economic decisionmakers in the hospital sector), their networks and their decisionmaking processes/structures as well as the current health policy framework conditions
  • Sound knowledge of the healthcare system and the regulatory systems of the German pharmaceutical market (AMNOG, reimbursement, DRG system (especially NUB and ZE), hospital financing, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of health economics and medicine
  • Strong understanding of the context and implications in terms of market access and demand as well as customer needs
  • Customer
- and service-oriented thinking and acting, with an obliging and reliable appearance and behaviour

  • Sound knowledge of AMG, HWG and the relevant compliance codes
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel intensively
