Dow has an opening for a Transfer Pricing Specialist located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This position is part of the Controllers - Tax organization, Transfer Pricing Team. The team is responsible for managing transactions between companies of the Dow group in a complex global footprint.

The team ensures a consistent method of determining transfer prices that comply with international tax guidelines, country-specific regulations, and Dow's internal policies and procedures.

Transfer prices are a critical element in the order-to-cash process as they are used to establish local statutory and tax values for inventory and intercompany product sales and serve as the customs import declaration value.

This position ensures transfer pricing activities are carried out with great precision and accuracy.

The Transfer Price Specialist works with the transfer pricing team to ensure the integrity of global financial reporting and compliance with tax regulations.


In this position you will:

  • Project lead for small M&A activity
  • Maintain a strong internal control structure for transfer prices
  • Respond to internal and external transfer price inquiries and provide documentation if necessary
  • Perform/assist with royalty and commission calculation and invoicing, including responding to inquiries from all interested parties
  • Calculate, analyze, and execute pricing updates
  • Distribute reporting and analysis tools to other functions
  • Recommend and execute work process improvements
  • Crossfunctional collaboration and planning

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, a degree in Accounting preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting/finance/tax experience
  • Understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Strong computer logic skills including MS Excel (complex formulas & macros), SAP experience preferred
  • Advanced English Level
  • A minimum requirement for this Brazilbased position is the ability to work legally in Brazil. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
  • Previous tax experience preferred
