This is an exciting opportunity to join a small and dynamic MarTech company.

Fly is a specialist marketing technology consultancy with a mission to help small businesses and not for profits to find their next stage of growth.

We are looking for a commercially astute and experienced Full Stack WordPress Developer to help deliver step-change for our clients.

Your experience will include building, testing, managing and improving custom, fully-responsive WordPress websites that carefully respect the vision of our designers, the UX demands of site visitors and the business needs of our clients.

Examples of your day-to-day role: Building fully-responsive WordPress sites from scratch based on well-organised and documented high-definition designs. E.g. Figma. Delivering regular improvements, new functionality & timely bug fixes to existing client WordPress sites, including occasional custom plugin development. Creating and automating Unit and general tests for WordPress themes and plugins. Crafting solutions to Fly's own internal WordPress website properties. Manage routine updates to ensure the security and stability of client sites. Collaborating with other members of the team inside a version control tool (bitbucket, GitHub, etc). This is a full-time role in our Brazilian-based team. You must live and have the right to work in Brazil to be considered for the role.

Requisitos Fluency or advanced level in both spoken and written English 5+ years of experience as a WordPress Developer Strong understanding of the latest industry trends influencing development direction and choices, including concepts pertaining to high-performance sites e.g.

(Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse) Ability to create robust tests in PHP using Unit test and similar tools Ability to manage all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS and shape options to ease management for non-technical marketing teams Working knowledge of Advanced Custom Fields and other leading WordPress development and marketing tools Working knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery Working knowledge and understanding of the importance of versioning tools Experience using debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, and others available Excellent analytical and multitasking skills Knowledge and respect for core SEO principles Familiarity with browser testing and debugging Working knowledge in hosting services like (Flywheel, WP Engine, Kinsta etc)
Desejável Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc) Working knowledge in AWS/Google Cloud Understanding and experience in WordPress/PHP security practices Knowledge of SEO principles Interact with RESTful APls and formats (JSON, XML) Experience using ManageWP or similar
