The Role:
Associate, Latin America Power and Renewables

The Team:
The Gas, Power, and Climate Solutions team is an integral part of S&P Global Commodity Insights.

This group includes various analysts who work on power and renewables, clean technology, natural gas/LNG/hydrogen, climate and energy scenarios and energy transition issues.

This position would be on the Latin America Power and Renewables team.

The Impact:

As a member of the Global Power and Renewables practice in Latin America, this position will focus on power markets across the region to provide quantitative research, create reports, contribute to consulting projects, and support events.

The Climate and Sustainability team is comprised of highly motivated professionals delivering critical information to the energy industry.

What's in it for you:

The analyst will perform research to understand the impact of emerging technologies, electrification, and green hydrogen in power markets across Latin America.

Responsibilities:

Lead or contribute to regular reports including power and renewable forecasts, market updates, and market trends.
Carry out topical research to help clients understand drivers, trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities.
Collect data, maintain models, and perform research and analysis focused on electrification and green hydrogen.
Support delivery of high-quality subscription work and client-specific projects/presentations.
Contribute to consulting projects as required and as driven by business needs.

What We're Looking For:

Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering or industry-related field required.
Proven experience in power markets with a focus in Latin America (1-3 years of industry experience preferred)
Excellent communication skills to deliver succinct, high-quality, concise written content that demonstrates the expertise outlined above.
Self-motivated and driven to develop new ideas and insights.

Grade/Level ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 8.
