IT PRODUCTION OPERATIONS MANAGER - AMER


The position can be located in Brazil (Belo Horizonte), Peru (Lima) or Mexico (Guadalajara) and the purpose of the job is to manage the production to meet the targets set by new and existing services.


Main responsibilities/accountabilities:
Ensure that assigned services are produced in accordance with policies and directives in the most efficient way

Ensure stability in operations

Ensure planning, prioritization and allocation of production capacity to meet targets and agreements


Ensure that all actions required are performed, to introduce, operate, change or retire components in operations whether people, services, hardware or software.

Ensure balance between level of quality, and cost for production

Escalate current and foreseen future issues affecting production according to policies, instructions and hierarchy

Ensure follow up and reporting is being performed for production metrics, e.g. cost, budget, incidents, capacity, according to agreements and produced services

Ensure Continual improvement of efficiency

If applicable - contribute in management teams and take accountability that the function is represented in other valid forums

Take Personnel responsibility for employees

Act as a representative for the employer

Manage Performance Management (Establish, communicate and follow up team targets and individual targets, perform and take accountability for documentation of individual performance dialogues, gather and share feedback, support individuals in creating and performing a development plan)

Take accountability for work related environment according to applicable legislation and policies

Decide on vacation, time off and over time, approve Time & Attendance reports

Accountable for adherence to applicable legislation, Sandvik Core Values, Sandvik Leadership Model, as well as established policies and guidelines

Manage recruitments

Manage Talent Management (Nominate High potentials, support them in their development)

Budget responsibility

Actively involved in following areas, including but not limited to:
Design coordination

Solution design

Continual Service Improvements

Service Operation

Incident management

Problem management

Change management

Knowledge management

Capacity management

Configuration management

Experience/Knowledge

Bachelor degree related field or equal experience

Minimum of 2 years experience in a leading position of a global team with practical responsibility for people and performance management

Strong leadership, influence and communication across different culture/teams

Excellent English skills, both verbal and written

IT Environment

This position involves travel in the country and international travel
