Your Role and Responsibilities


Our team works with strategic technologies such as Red Hat OpenShift, Operators with the Operator Lifecycle Manager (OLM), as well as common databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra.

We operate in a continuous-delivery, forward-moving model of development, so concepts like CICD and automated & integrated testing are foundational.


This role will lead a team to define transformation strategy for MCC (Marketing, Communications & Citizenship) from a devOps and security perspective.

You will provide expertise and insights for project engineering teams and advise on best approaches to solve for avoiding infrastructure and security challenges.


  • Define roadmaps and milestones for devOps tasks in support of multiple projects handled on a quarterly basis
  • Handle resolution of blockers, escalation to stakeholders, provisioning of resources and change in plans for global devOps team
  • Meet with stakeholders and internal teams to communicate and agree on plans and manage notifications when issues arise
  • Document plans for maintenance, schedules and status to PMO team and stakeholders
  • Implement containerized workflows using technologies such as Kubenetes and Docker
  • Manage Ansible, Jenkins, Tekton and other CI/CD solutions for MCC platforms
  • Diagnose environmental issues and introduce/implement technologies to solve them
  • Stay up to date on the latest container platform releases and containerization techniques
  • Provision and maintenance of DevOps Infrastructure for projects
  • Monitor and support of platform infrastructure and manage escalations as defined in the MCC DevOps Playbook.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Good experience as DevOps Engineer
  • Handson experience on DevOps tools like Jenkins, GIT, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible etc
  • Kubernetes Certification will be an added advantage
  • Used Jenkins or similar tools to create CI/CD pipelines.
  • Managed Orchestration and Containerization using Kubernetes, OpenShift etc
  • Expertise in Linux (CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu etc.)
  • Programming skills using languages such as Java/Python
  • Expert knowledge in Shell Scripting/Bash, Python, setting up Jenkins pipelines
  • Familiarity in integration of heterogenous services in a hybrid environment
  • Experience with relational and nonrelational databases
  • Familiarity with IBM Cloud or AWS
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Fluent English
This is a Hybrid role, attendance to the office will be required only 3 times peer week

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Networking, Engineering or related specialties
