Position Summary


The Sales Specialist will be responsible for establishes relationships with physicians, maintaining and documenting all promotional activities for the Alexion products to physicians in a defined geographic territory.

Develop and direct sales strategies at key accounts assigned in the territory.


Main responsibilities

  • Creates and maintains strategically targeted accountspecific business plans that reflect an indepth understanding of local market forces and the patient's journey.
  • Identify business opportunities in the territory, acting quickly and effectively.
  • Promote and/or participate in medical events related.
  • Effectively manage time, resources and workload
  • Tracks activities and submits reports on sales activities accurately & ontime
  • Review and propose improvements in the medical panel Brazil, focusing on maintaining the treatments provided by Alexion.
  • Develop and maintain strong indepth clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge of the diseases and products worked by Alexion.
  • Work with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company's policies and Code of Ethics and Business Conduct
  • Build trusting relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, and proactively interacts with crossfunctional team to refine product and market initiatives.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (administration, marketing or health care)
  • Experience as a representative or consultant in the pharmaceutical industry is required.
  • Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical sales experience (oncology, hospital, immunology, transplants, etc.)
  • Valid national driver's license (CNH)
  • Ability to travel within territory on a regular basis which will include frequent overnight and weekend travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate level English
  • Master's degree
  • Sales experience in the orphan or ultraorphan area

  • Technical ability: having a deep knowledge of pathologies (diagnosis, disease and treatment).
  • Communication: develop and transmit information in a clear, objective, and efficient way (verbal and written)
  • Decision making: make appropriate and timely decisions to ensure the proper course of business.
  • Resilience: learn in the face of difficult situations and manage ambiguities and complexities.
  • Analytical profile: analyze the environment, scenarios, data, market and from this analysis generate information of value, knowledge, present and future possibilities related to policies, practices, trends that can contribute to the business.
  • Strategic planning: Manage time well, plan each visit or approach, organize yourself to reach the established goals and anticipate problems, look at future possibilities and convert them into decisions and tactical actions.
