Our Team:


We work alongside Wood Mackenzie's regional/global oil and gas sector experts to deliver research and consulting projects and provide economic valuation and analysis of thousands of oil and gas fields.

We serve a range of clients, including national and major oil companies, governments, investment banks and institutional investors.


About the role:


In this role you will have the chance to:

  • Actively contribute to defined research projects and conduct secondary research, putting theory into practice.
  • Model and economically analyse oil and gas fields as well as follow up closely on oil and gas companies' releases and understand the impact on their strategy and portfolio valuation
  • Collect data and check the alignment of our databases with official figures from local and public sources, such as national energy balances, energy regulatory agency reports, amongst others
  • Collaborate with analysts to answer client requests/presentations, and react to events in the upstream industry to provide our clients with timely, updated analysis

Requirements:


Studying towards a Bachelor's degree, Technician or professional qualification with a quantitative, statistical, energy, finance and/or economics focus (such as engineering, geology, computational science, etc).

Applicants must have the legal Right to Work in the country this role is based in. We are unable to sponsor employment visas at this time.

  • An analytical mind and eye for detail / critical thinking skills
  • Great written and verbal communication
  • Willingness to learn about our business from the ground up
  • Adaptability and organisational skills
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel
  • Basic to Intermediate English (required), Spanish knowledge is a plus
  • Knowledge of Python/automatic data scrapping methods is a plus.
