Job Purpose:

This role is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and software deployment of the FrontRunner Autonomous System.

The AHS product is at the forefront of mining technology as one of the most cost-effective solutions for fleet management, delivering unrivaled safety and fleet optimization in complex mining environments without the requirement of a truck operator.

Modular currently supports successful AHS operations in the US, Chile, Australia, Canada and Brazil demonstrating Modular's ability to deliver high value, cutting edge solutions and outstanding support.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing technical support to the AHS Supervisory System, acting as 1st and 2nd Level support, and using customer ticketing portal, supporting tools, testing and escalation processes, which involves working in shifts.
Troubleshoot and diagnose root cause of system issues within SLA timeframes.
Capture and document improvement opportunities, identifying bugs and materials for internal training by creating reports, manuals, presentations, process maps, etc.
Maintain ongoing communication with the 3rd level when necessary to fully understand issues and improve overall knowledge of the AHS.
Proactively seek to identify unexpected system behavior and escalate these issues accordingly. Business Processes
Communication follow guidelines for communication flow through Modular, Komatsu and Vale

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or any other relevant technology experience (preferred)
Customer service experience
Linux/Unix systems competent at a medium level with an understanding of computer networks.
Microsoft SQL and/or MySQL databases.
Communication skills suitable for working directly with customers.
Highlevel analytical skills for general troubleshooting of product related issues.

English

Advanced level.

Desired Skills:

Experience in mining operations.
Experience in Dispatch or other fleet management system at an operational and/or technical level will be highly advantageous.
Understanding of radio communication (2.4 GHz Wifi networks).
Experience with virtualization solutions (i.e. VMWare).

Proficiency in programming

Java or other highlevel programming language.
