SUMMARY JOB DESCRIPTION:
_

The Distribution and Logistics analyst sits on the LatAm Supply Chain organization and will be based in Itapoa, Brazil.


The primary responsibility is to play an active role in order to support the implementation of a new Distribution and Transportation Network to achieve EMBECTA's overall service requirements in Brazil, and support implementation of the warehousing process with the 3PL.


The incumbent will be responsible to work side by side and support 3PL's (warehousing) and transport suppliers in order to achieve the service level agreements with EMBECTA's customers and KPI's placed in SOW.

Track and report the Brazil warehouse, distribution and transportation financial budgets vs real.


The Distribution and Logistics analyst will collaborate for mapping/blue print, testing and implementation of the ERP system to be implemented, in collaboration with other functional areas.

This position reports to the Distribution and Logistics Leader, Latin America.

The incumbent will execute the tactics and operations for how the supply chain will support sales in Brazilian market, always focus in minimizing cost and comply regulatory requirements.


  • RESPONSIBILITIES:_
Strategy Development and Execution

  • Collaborate for the implementation of a new Brazilian Distribution Network to support business goals, transportation methods to result in significant savings while improving customer experience and comply regulatory requirements
  • To execute warehousing and distribution strategy to meet customer expectations for product and service deliver performance, at optimal combination of costs, quality, and resources.
  • To work side by side with 3PL and transport suppliers in order to support business objectives.
  • Knowledge of ERP tools and capabilities, including, data management and reporting, project timelines, Brazilian regulatory requirements, cost efficiency.
Warehousing and Freight Management

  • Collaborate for fast and efficient shipping and distribution systems, warehousing and managing regional thirdparty logistics provider, network optimization and delivering harmonized processes and tools
  • Collaborate with costs strategic initiatives. Monitoring costs on Transportation & Warehouse.
  • Support initiatives which improve the customer experience in warehousing and distribution fields.
  • Develop innovative methods in order to improve storage process.
  • Manage relationship with thirdparty logistics partner to ensure they deliver to Terms and Conditions of contract.
  • Freight payment queue management
  • Cycle Counting
  • Nonconformances
- investigation and implementation of supply chain corrective action(s) to resolve supplier and customer non-conformances.

  • To ensure that the processes of inbound, storage, picking, cycle counts, outbound, customer returns are carried out according to the right processes and the kpi's established in the SOW.
  • Accountable for continuous search and implement best practices for warehouse and distribution processes.
  • Monitor that regulatory requirements are met by the 3PL and transportation suppliers.

Continuous Improvements and Change Management:

  • Monitoring KPI's vs SOW and develop action plans to improve performance.
  • Ability to execute cost reduction initiatives directly into warehousing and distribution operations.
  • To implement best practices in warehousing and distribution operations and ensure quality compliance.
  • Monitor daily operations to drive performance, compliance, and continuous improvements.
  • Identity continuous yearoveryear improvement of the customer experience while maintaining or improving annual spend.

EDUCATION:
_


Experience:


  • Experience of minimum 3+ years in a similar industry (pharma, health, medical devices). Working in an international environment a plus.
  • Experience in dealing with logistic costs and operational efficiencies in storage and distribution operations.
  • Experience in managing 3PL suppliers and carriers.
  • ERP implementation experience is a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in working with good storage and distribution practices in industry (pharma, health, medical devices).
  • Knowledge about regulatory and quality requirements in industry (pharma, health, medical devices).

Education:


  • A Bachelor's degree is required in supply chain, engineering or business field.

  • Strong computer skills including familiarity with ERP/SAP, WMS and TMS, and Microsoft Excell.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Strong customer orientation and customer service delivery.
  • Ability to continuously challenge processes/procedures based on the latest industry thinking.
  • Highest levels of personal and professional integrity.
  • Fluent English mandatory OR Spanish.
