Symplicity is seeking an Accessibility Consultant - Brazil, we empower higher education institutions around the world to enable the best possible outcomes for students.

We engineer, operate, and support a suite of software-as-a-service products that serve thousands of universities and millions of students worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to Agile software development teams to implement modifications to digital products.
Work with colleagues to refine accessibility testing and reporting templates, protocols, and tools.
Contribute to research literature, practice guides, and instructional materials on accessibility and best practices.

Qualifications:

A degree or certification in a relevant technical area is desired.
No less than 3 years of relevant experience with Information Technology, preferably Assistive Technology.
Knowledge of WCAG 2.x Principles, Guidelines, Success Criteria, and Sufficient Techniques.
Knowledge of Assistive Technology (AT), its performance, capability, baseline interoperability.
Experience with WCAG Compliance test scripts and reporting of test results.
Knowledge of Inspection/Testing tools. Able to demonstrate testing acumen to coordinate with AT Testers.
Knowledge of accessibility techniques in web development utilizing Semantic HTML, WAI-ARIA, JavaScript and CSS.
Soft skills, including effective Communication, teamwork, time management, willingness to learn, empathy, organization, analytical and critical think
Strong written or verbal communication skills are the most significant requirement for this position. Fluency in spoken or written English is required.
