Adopt measures to control occupational risks through actions, health programs and occupational safety, so that they eliminate the possible risks to employees.

Provide administrative support relevant to safety.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) inventory in coordination with crossfunctional teams (e.g., Sales & Clinical Team) including purchasing new PPE, conduct training on the use of PPE's (Bio Safety Training), and inspect equipment for damages on an annual basis Review monthly radiation control report, monthly dosimeter management (e.g., request, cancel and renew dosimeters monthly), manage supplier contract and conduct training on the correct use of dosimeter.
  • Ensure documents are organized properly, including securing appropriate signatures provide copies, digitalize and archive documents, send/receive documentation by mail/Fedex, Maintain shared folders updated with signed agreements/documentation for easy access. Provide documentation to the team and/or third parties, when needed.
  • Organize annual election, monthly meetings followup, preparation of monthly minutes, coordinate the Internal Week for the Prevention of Accidents at Work (SIPAT) and other campaigns carried out by Internal Commission for Accident Prevention (CIPA)
  • Provide monthly followup of pending medical examinations, organize annual campaign of medical examinations, schedule hiring examination, dismissal, return to work and change of function.
  • Review and ensure documents are accurate to provide to government agencies (e.g., Control of Absenteeism, Medical Certificates, Clearances and Control of Vaccination Card) in coordination with the occupational health provider.
  • Review, register, and store all legal documents to ensure compliance and registry with established guidelines (e.g., Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA) and Occupational Health Medical Control Program (PCMSO)), including securing appropriate approvals and signatures
  • Maintain and track calendar of LATAM wellness and food events and programs.(e.g., Management of Labor Gymnastics / Quarterly Races, available food at the office and Annual Wellness Campaign)
  • Organize the fire brigade, monitor the cleaning of air conditioning and any other office maintenance. Perform the verification of the working conditions of service providers and third parties aligned with Edwards.
  • Other duties as assigned by management: Interact with Notary's offices, translation companies and courier services; Process invoices and register new providers

Education and Experience:


  • Technical certificate in Environment Safety and Regular registration at M.T.E. (Ministry of Labor and Employment) Required; 4 years of previous experience required; experience in similar roles Preferred

Additional Skills:


  • Good computer skills in MS Office Suite, Adobe, and ability to operate general office machinery
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated problemsolving and critical thinking skills
  • Full knowledge and understanding of Edwards policies, procedures, and international and guidelines relevant to safety
  • Advanced problemsolving skills

  • Contacts are across the organization and at all organizational levels, including external contacts that may be at high levels including external vendors
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
