Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field.

We are actively looking for an Engineering Intern to join our Sao Paulo office.

This is a rotational program where the intern will touch a few different disciplines including Civil, Structural, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering.

Duties and responsibilities:


  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions._
  • Perform design calculations and prepare design drafts
  • Study, evaluate, and document design criteria; research applicable codes, and present findings to project team for implementation
  • Calculate quantities of elements for construction of projects and prepare cost estimates
  • Visit project sites if required
  • Assist with similar duties in other engineering disciplines assigned by Project Manager

Qualifications:


  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Program
  • Must be at least a Junior in their Bachelor's program
  • Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Communication skills: Able to write clearly and concisely, as well as speak effectively and listen attentively and ask clarifying questions.

Interpersonal skills: Able to work well with others and able to build relationships.

Problem-solving skills: Able to identify problems, analyze them, and start to develop solutions and come up with new ideas.

Adaptability: Able to learn new things and adjust to changes in the workplace also be able to be flexible and work in different environments / coworkers.

  • At least one previous related internship preferred but not required
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a preemployment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST

Physical requirements:

Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
