This is a remote Contract/Consultant position. Working hours will be 9:00am-6:00pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. The job requires excellent oral and written command of the English language. Resumes must be submitted in English.


About the Job:


Responsibilities:


  • Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and maintenance of the Thunderbird platform, ensuring the delivery of highquality, scalable, and performant solutions.
  • Oversee the website's backend development, focusing on PHP, and manage HubSpot connectivity on the frontend.
  • Review and approve code submissions on GitHub, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational standards.
  • Take ownership of creating new designs and features with limited oversight, encouraging a culture of innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand requirements, set priorities, and deliver comprehensive solutions that meet business goals.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to project architecture, development processes, and coding standards.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and risk assessments, ensuring timely delivery of projects within budget.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team development, and providing mentorship to junior developers.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset (Previous experience as a Founder is a huge plus)
  • Proven experience as a Technical Manager or Lead Developer, with a strong background in PHP development.
  • Knowledge of Zapier to manage frontend workflows.
  • Strong understanding of web development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
  • Proficiency in code versioning tools, specifically GitHub, and experience in code review processes.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • A portfolio of successful projects that demonstrates the ability to manage complex web development projects from conception to delivery.
  • Ability to solve technical problems after business hours if technical issues arise.
