Introduction
System Administrators are the gatekeepers to the many systems that run our company and our clients.

As a System Admin with IBM, you will have the opportunity to provide high-value IT services and leverage our leading-edge technology portfolio in our global network.

Your work has a direct impact on the day-to-day productivity of our business by ensuring integrity of, and access to, our most crucial resource: data.

Your Role and Responsibilities

The z/OS Db2 Administrator will be part of a team that provides implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of our client z/OS Db2 environments. The administrator will be responsible for collaborating with members of our Technical Delivery Teams and Architecture teams to support and improve the delivery of managed services.
This is a critical infrastructure role on businesscritical services that require team support 24x7 365. A support model is in place to cover the 24x7 requirement across administrators with shared standby and overtime responsibilities.

The administrator will be responsible for:

The build, deployment, support, and performance of systems
Maintaining compliance to avoid data loss and unauthorized access
Abilities:

To create a better deliverable among multiple teams, Agile practices are used to assign, control and measure activities as a member of a self-directed team.

Team members demonstrate their competence with soft skills, time management, upskilling, independence, and teamwork. These skills are fundamental for your work deliverables and career path.

Use your leadership and project management abilities in infrastructure environment management to lead and participate in internal projects across multiple teams. Team members will be in a located across the globe.
Effectively communicate in technical discussions with Infrastructure Architect, Security, and Project teams

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

IT infrastructure systems administration experience in a large z/OS Db2 enterprise environment
Day to day experience in building and supporting z/OS Db2 systems
Demonstrated strength in troubleshooting complex technical issues
Ability and experience to support a 24x7 environment including standby and overtime activities

Security and compliance

Skills to deal with audit requirements, providing artifacts from z/OS Db2 environment, including all patching management processes to maintain secure servers
Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with ACE
Red Hat, AIX, Windows Server Administration experience
