Amazon launched the Generative AI Innovation Center (GAIIC) in June 2023 to help AWS customers accelerate the use of Generative AI to solve business and operational problems and promote innovation within their organization.
GAIIC provides opportunities to innovate in a dynamic environment that contributes to groundbreaking projects and technologies deployed on devices and in the cloud.
As a Data Science Manager in GAIIC, you will collaborate with technology and business teams to develop new GenAI solutions that excite our customers.
You will lead a team of data scientists, deep learning architects, and ML engineers to create generative AI models and pipelines, delivering cutting-edge solutions to customers' business and mission challenges. Your team will handle terabytes of text, images, and diverse data types to solve real-world problems.
The ideal candidate will possess technical and customer-facing skills, acting as the technical representative of AWS within our ecosystem and directly engaging with end customers. They should be able to engage with senior technical and management personnel at customers and partners, and provide guidance to data scientists and software developers.
An essential quality for the candidate is their capability as a technical team manager, adept at recruiting, developing, and retaining top technical talent.
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) drive revenue, adoption, and growth across a broad range of customer segments, from small to large enterprise-level accounts, including the public sector. The AWS Global Support team prioritizes world-class support for customer success and collaborates with companies developing mission-critical applications on AWS.
