The Latin America IT Application Excellence Sr Manager will lead the Programs and Portfolio management for Strategic programs and initiatives for Information Technology, focusing on Digital Acceleration, Application Portfolio Optimization and acquisitions integration.

This seasoned leader will also oversee a team of IT program management and business partners that supports Latin America. This role will directly report to the Global Senior Director for Business Solutions at Wabtec.


Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the identification, implementation, and facilitation of programs and portfolio governance across Latin America, ensuring adherence of IT initiatives to the enterprise strategy and driving business value
  • Develop and foster relationship with P&L directors and senior leaders of the region, ensuring that IT will be a continued liaison and trusted partner to deliver digitization and growth for the internal customers
  • Establish transparent and measurable operations, enabling visibility of metrics, issues and risks to the regional IT leader and Enterprise stakeholders
  • Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to IT program managers and business analysts that supports the global strategy rollout within region
  • Build disaster recover and continuity plans for the region
  • Work with IT leaders and module owners globally for prioritization of critical issues and work towards resolution, modules ensuring they get addressed appropriately with continuous communication
  • Partner with module owners/technical leads and help carve out and lead mandatory compliance, productivity and business required initiatives going beyond daytoday operations
  • Transition new implementation solutions to the operational support team
  • Communicate project progress, prioritization status, lessons learned and manage conflicts with C-Level leaders
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's STEM degree, Post Graduate and MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of leading IT teams on Global enterprises
  • 8+ years Project Management experience in IT
  • Strong background on ERP and Enterprise Applications implementation, rollout and sustain
  • Strong knowledge of Latin America localizations, Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Peru, Colombia are a plus
  • Advanced proficiency in English, Spanish is a plus

  • Expert in navigating through ambiguity, removing roadblocks, prioritizing conflicting requirements
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to influence outcomes and organize teams to attain shared goals
  • Experience leading and working with global teams
  • Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communications skills (both written and verbal) with all levels of an organization
  • Proven track record of delivering information technology projects within established project constraints (ontime, onbudget, within scope, high quality)
  • Skills include strong business acumen, futurethinking, strategic, accountable, collaborative, and proactive, all complementing strong tactical execution skills
