ABOUT THE ROLE

  • The Regulatory Affairs Analyst assists the Regulatory Affairs Manager in ensuring the BC South Latam region (BR and CL) operates in compliance with the regulatory requirements of the region. This role will create educational presentations, review and approve consumer labels and create customer communications. The role works closely with Quality, R&D and Sales on local cross functional projects and offers an opportunity to expand global regulatory knowledge by working on global projects with Regulatory Affairs in other regions and keep abreast of new / revised regional and global legislations.
    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review & approve labels - SAP or pre-printed labels for the BR and CL markets.
Prepare presentations and provide training assistance to QA, R&D, Sales on applicable food legislations.

Support the RA Manager in monitoring the implementation of new regulatory policies and projects (Corporate or Regional).Create official regulatory responses to customer requests as needed.

Support the QA Documentation team as backup on absence of the LATAM Analyst (when needed due to language barriers - the Americas team don't speak Spanish and Portuguese).

The person will respond to customers' questionnaires and provide the necessary documentation to approve BC as a supplier and will coordinate technical information requests with internal stakeholders to meet customers' needs.


ABOUT YOU

  • Graduated in Food Engineer, Food Science, Chemical Engineer, or related technical fields;
  • Food law education (training on BR legislations)
  • Portuguese (must have)/ English (must have) / Spanish as asset (oral and written);
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years experience in a food regulatory position;
  • Former experience with food labeling creation/approval;
  • Knowledge in SAP, Sales Force (as end user) is an asset, not mandatory
  • Very good communication skills (oral and written);
  • Proactive, organized, focused, detailed and solution oriented;
  • Must work well under pressure and be diplomatic.
