The HR Manager Generalist will provide strategic and tactical support to the P&L's and their extended teams.

This role will be crucial in working across the business segments of Wabtec and partnering with regional teams to support employees in Latin America.

This role will proactively identify and execute on organizational priorities, drive culture change, employee relations support and process improvement.


In this role, you will gain a deep knowledge of the business, regions, products, and the critical elements of success in launching new products and new technology.

This role will also actively support talent development priorities to scale and drive alignment.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand business goals and be an active business partner for the Leadership Team. Provide HR functional excellence in the areas of talent development, performance management, organizational change, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement and facilitating team performance
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute human resource plans in support of key business priorities and develop / implement appropriate change management plans as required. Including recruiting, selection, as well as restructuring.
  • Deliver results in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence in areas of talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, HR operations, and employment counsel to ensure alignment and efficiency
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, guidance and support for leaders, managers, employees, and peers
  • Thoughtful ability to develop strategic relationships with business partners to influence the decisions.
  • Act as an impartial advocate to ensure that all individuals receive fair and equitable treatment

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 10 years of experience in a variety of Human Resource positions

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior client support experience, including business partnership, with global teams is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated employee relations experience across multiple levels of an organization
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence & engage at all levels of the business
  • Demonstrated ability to investigate and resolve problems
  • Strong coaching & mentoring skills
  • Strong project management & execution skills
  • Ability to lead programs / projects and inspire change
  • Ability to make or drive decisions in an ambiguous environment
  • Solid business acumen and customer mindset
  • Strong oral and written communication skills able to clearly communicate complex and critical information
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a matrix organization
