Support country local Hitachi Energy organization and assigned cluster of countries by providing Trade Finance advisory services including; bank guarantees, parent company guarantees, sureties, documentary letters of credit during the export sales contract negotiations and during post sales trade finance instrument finalization and execution.


Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and interact with all CFAs and activities globally for the applicable areas of responsibilities (in reference to the applicable RACI). Develop and maintain strong interaction with marketing and sales organization and business development. The fundament for all customer finance advisory activities is regulated in the Hitachi Energy instructions & regulations and in the respective RACI matrix.
  • Act as a center of competence for the trade finance instruments portfolio management for the cluster countries.
  • Provide expert advice on trade finance instruments structure during the negotiation of and after the export sales contract is concluded.
  • Provide relevant advice and risk mitigation activities in case of nonstandard instruments being requested.
  • Knowledge of local legal environments, implications for the issuance of trade finance instruments, knowhow of specific local instruments such as sureties, burgschafts, etc.
  • Drive standardization of PG trade finance instruments wordings (standard templates, bank templates, global library, promotion of usage of international standards such as URDG, UCP, ISP98)
  • Speaking partner to Head Global CoE Trade Finance, PG CFM's for Trade Finance Link (system) and Trade Finance portfolio
  • Follow relevant PG rules and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the relevant, existing Trade Finance Delivery Center (TFDC) hub and across regional hubs (in case of language or legal issues).
  • Portfolio oversight (for countries with no TFDC hub servicing)
  • First escalation point for business users
  • Support/oversight on the data quality management in TFL
  • KPI reporting

  • Adhering to local regulations and relevant customary practices
  • Provide training
  • Approval role (for hosting country)
  • Release bank guarantee requests as part of the 4eye principle
  • Maintain bank guarantee portfolio (new issuance, amendment, extend or pay, claims, closing, free formats)
  • Receive the incoming bolero messages, check the quality and content agrees with request and import accordingly
  • Follow manual procedure in case of nonBolero contracts
  • Assign advised export LCs to the relevant recipients as per maintained "allocation guidelines" or based on any other source of information (like beneficiary, goods description, etc.)
  • TFL User Access Management
  • Approval of the new user requests, modification and deletion
  • Regular control and reconciliation of the users as required

  • Participation in planning activities of Global CoE Trade Finance
  • Budgeting support to Head Global CoE Trade Finance
  • Support in the TFDC hub model development and its roll out (including Business workflow) across entire PG organization
  • Bank relationship
  • Support PG country in maintenance of existing or requesting of a new standalone credit line
  • Provide input on the bank performance / satisfaction survey preparation
  • Bank fee charges
  • Incoming invoice reconciliation
  • Timely bank fee payment execution
  • Cost center allocation for bank fees
  • Trade Finance Link
  • Act as a Local Power User (LPU) for the business users in case of questions or doubts
  • Support the Trade Finance Link development by providing input on identified, potential improvements

  • First level support for any Service Quality issues to Head Global CoE Trade Finance

  • Be the designated pointofcontact: proactively build, maintain and develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders within the relevant customer finance domain.
  • Proactively capture and develop business opportunities where customer financing solutions may be of relevance in coordination with Region Lead CFA
  • Maintain an active exchange and dialog with all CFA community
  • Maintain core bank relationships on the 3rd party customer financing activities with and for the subregion
  • Interact directly with external stakeholders such as customers, financial institutions and other counterparties.
