Scope


Develops, implements, and executes the Latin America distribution strategy for the finished goods distribution network with the overall intent of creating competitive advantage by maximizing customer service while minimizing distribution costs.

Has direct responsibility for corporate managed and local country warehouses, as well as management of 3PL locations, in the region.

Directs all aspects of the distribution function to ensure high quality services that meet cGMP and local regulations. Responsible for continuous improvement of costs year over year. Lead, train, and mentor team members. This role has responsibility for supply of the entire Dentsply Sirona portfolio for the Region.

Collaboration with various key stakeholders, which include the RCO, GBUs, Finance, S&OP teams, and global BI / IT, is critical to success.


Key Responsibilites

  • Responsible for the performance of all warehouses in the network with regards to distribution of finished goods through direct and indirect sales channels. This includes pick, pack, and ship activities as well as processing and put away of inbound shipments.
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that all business objectives are achieved.
  • Responsible for ensuring that each warehouse in the network maintains a safe work environment that complies with all local regulations.
  • Works closely with QA/RA to ensure compliance with cGMP and other local regulations.
  • Ensures clearly defined KPIs and performance measurement. Implements processes for identifying challenges and cause(s), and leading projects and initiatives that will generate tangible enhancements to business performance and customer experience.
  • Gather feedback and insight from RCOs / customers, members of the team, and analysis to determine priority areas for improvements and enhanced operational effectiveness. This can range from the implementation of new technology to the removal or addition of a node within the network. Align with RCO leadership and other stakeholders on priorities, and work with the team to ensure projects and actions are in place and managed to deliver expectations.
  • Responsible for inventory management to ensure high accuracy as well as safe storage.
  • Responsible for driving a customer focused and continuous improvement culture across the distribution network.
  • Serve as a point of contact for RCO leadership with concerns and opportunities related to revenue / supply risk and customer service level performance.
  • Collaborate with S&OP to obtain and understand supply plans and risks and backorder projections for the Region.
  • Responsible for staffing within the network to ensure necessary talent and proper staffing levels to meet stakeholder requirements. Supervises direct and functional reports. Establishes individual performance objectives and reviews performance against goals. Provides counselling. Plans, approves, and implements programs for the timely development and progression of individuals. Plans and manages wages. Handles discipline and documentation, as necessary.
  • Evaluates capabilities of domestic and international transportation and logistics service providers and leads in the selection/management of providers to optimize services to effectively meet stakeholder requirements. Maintains relationships with providers to drive best service value for the corporation.
  • Establishes value added services (e.g. labeling, kitting, etc.), as needed. Ensures services are established in a costeffective manner that meets regulatory requirements.
  • Performs research or technical studies critical to the ongoing refinement of logistic support functions to keep performance in a competitive mode that is taking full advantage of the latest technology and processes available.

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in or equivalent level of relevant experience
