To strengthen our Team, based in São Paulo, Brazil, we are looking to fill the position of: Immunology Patient Value Unit Head

As a UCB Immunology Patient Value Unit Head you will work in an environment where you can:


Main Activities:

-
Create a talented and engaged team of Immunology in Brazil
  • Recruit, retain and develop highly talented people to ensure the success of UCB; lead the team to achieve business objectives by fully living out UCB's Patient Value Strategy vision, mission and principles;
-
Drive strategies, plans and execution, promoting the UCB objectives of increasing patient value and driving sustainable growth, sales and profitability;
-
Promote engagement and coordination across all team members, working in a matrix environment that encompasses members of UCB and partner teams as needed, including alignment, as appropriate, with market access team members, sales team members, field staff, Medical Scientific Liaisons and other team members to meet customer needs for better patient care;

Develop and implement customer strategies and tactics to better position UCB in the evolving healthcare arena;

Work closely with external decision makers to incorporate specific needs into brand plans;
-
Work together with other areas (ex: access, medical and marketing) to develop and execute launch campaigns.

Key Performance Indicators:

High level of strategic thinking for building integrated brand plans

In-depth understanding of marketing planning, including life cycle planning.

Ability to work independently and make decisions with occasional consultation with supervisors

Ability to generate, analyze and quantify options to identify appropriate solutions

Management responsibility for broad operational plans and budgets, with and without direct authority

Patient numbers, in-market demand, market share, net sales, opex management, profitability.

Successful execution of pre-launch and launch activities and attainment of key launch targets (product uptake, market share, net sales, P&L)

Successful negotiations with key players, including the Brazilian Ministry of Health.

Education:

-
Bachelor's degree;
-
Master's degree is a plus;

Qualifications:


Required:

-
Minimum 10 years of managerial experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology.
-
Proven leadership skills and efficiency in conducting business in a highly complex healthcare system.
-
Strong interpersonal skills to create collaborative work environments.
-
Strong communication and ability to influence others.
-
Ability to prioritize and manage complex multidisciplinary projects.
-
Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, business planning and development and execution of tactical plans.
-
Excellent understanding of basic business finance, return on investment and profitability analysis.
-
Demonstrated ability to work and collaborate effectively in a complex multidisciplinary environment, in partnership with different stakeholders (sales, access, market research, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, global affairs, public relations, clinical development, etc.).
-
Experience in product marketing, portfolio strategy and development of executable market plans driven by relevant customer insights.
-
Experience with qualitative and quantitative market research.
-
People management experience with direct reports and demonstrated leadership skills to inspire, mobilize, develop and retain high performance teams.

Demonstrated success in project, supplier and budget management.
-
Demonstration of a consistent history of success and delivery of strong sales and profitability results.
-
Availability for national and international trips.
-
Understanding of Pricing & Reimbursement strategies with proven experience.
-
Experience with product launches.
-
Display strong integrity and alignment to UCB's Ethics & Compliance standards.
-
Demonstrated knowledge about the commercial area of the pharmaceutical market, distribution channels, competitive trends and impact on UCB's key products.
