NOV Subsea Production Systems (NOV SPS) designs and manufactures flexible pipes and specific, innovative products for the offshore oil and gas industry.

Unique technical opportunities

This is a chance to further develop leadership and technical skills as well as expand knowledge of and experience with a variety of exciting technical fields.

You will report to the Snr.

Engineering and Technology Manager and join a team of R&D Project and Technical Managers, Project Coordinators and Document Controllers working across the NOV organization in Denmark and Norway.

This team interfaces with the entire organization for engineering and design, prototype manufacturing, and testing.

We want a rare mix of project, technical and communication excellence
As Technical Lead, you have proven project management skills within planning, scope breakdown and resource estimation.

Your job will naturally entail a great deal of coordination, project management and communication, where you in collaboration with Sales teams, Project Managers, Technical Leads and Subject Matter Experts identify milestones and drivers for the New Product Developments opportunities in Brazil.

You own a special knowledge on local regulations of the ANP levy clause on funding of research and development projects in country.

But more than this, the position requires that you leverage your technical skills to be able to resolve challenges in the project based on solid engineering insight, and effectively document conclusions.

In this role, you will identify Technology Readiness Levels and manage risk with respect to technical compliance within engineering, procurement, production, and testing.

And finally, you will make sure that client specifications and relevant standards requirements are aligned and you respond to or coordinate customer queries/presentations on the New Product Developments together with the team around it.

In addition to having a solid technical background (M.Sc.

or PhD in Engineering or the equivalent), you must be capable of the following:

Effectively communicate with project team and with customers (Portuguese and English).
Motivate and involve project team in technical issues, meetings, subsuppliers etc.
Leverage a strong and broad technical background that enables you to perform technical work yourself.

We expect you to have an acute sense of technical possibilities and the ability to make correct judgments, and be aware of drivers, risks and consequences of decisions.

As a person, you are self-driven, and has a natural ability to motivate others. You thrive when solving technical problems through dialog, planning and priority setting - including putting it on paper.

Finally, it will be a clear advantage, if you are familiar with unbonded flexible pipe systems, design methodologies, tests and customer requirements for qualification and verification.
