About the Role:

How you will make an impact:

Delivery:

Drive program and project delivery with key focus areas: ontime, onbudget, inscope, with high quality and stability.
Oversee a continuous planning cadence of releases through roadmap planning and planning interval facilitation

Ensure the program delivery takes a Service level and Customer level view of "definition of done", success criteria, and measurements, i.e.

all delivery is managed towards external customer satisfaction.

Identify program core team needs with regards to process, tools, documentation, etc., and implement or drive required changes to ensure optimum efficiency.
Translate prioritized products strategies into program visual roadmaps and project plans.
Oversee strategic project management from conception through implementation with customers.
Drive decisions and take actions in support of the larger area's strategic direction.
Direct delivery through following the lean governance workflow established by the PM

leadership, including new technology initiatives review and prioritization mechanism with a quarterly cadence.
Drive continuous improvement in a rapid, reliable, and repeatable way across program and strategic project delivery.

Conduct retrospectives, consolidate learnings and reinforce these within the teams for subsequent program and project deliveries.
Support fiscal year financial planning for the program; oversee project team time tracking and ensure capitalization rates and expenses are within budget.

Communication & Collaboration:

Drive and manage transparency through establishment of relevant dashboards and KPIs for decision making i.e. Cost, Usage, Performance, Scale, Errors.
Provide clear communication to crossfunctional team leads and senior management regarding project status, resource requirements, issues, and priorities.
Proactively identify risks and issues, prioritize them, and create plans to resolve in a timely manner.
Collaborate with, and support teams in delivering work in a way that builds trust across various business units.
Work crossfunctionally to solve problems and implement changes.
Report weekly through online status dashboards to provide realtime data on program and project delivery status as a regular cadence of reporting to the executive leadership team.

Leadership:

Drive a strong crossfunctional leadership culture between the core team members. Train, coach, and evangelize the core team on the Agile mindset, frameworks, and practices.

What we look for:

Technology degree, business degree desired, Bachelor's Degree.
Five to seven plus years of project management experience in software development.
Experience with SAFe framework and the RTE role as defined in the framework.
Advanced experience with Agile methodologies, as well as traditional project management experience; integration projects and user interface projects required OR equivalent education and experience to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Experience with JIRA and Clarity PPM tools desired.
Works independently and is selfmotivated.
Makes timely and sound decisions.
Superior presentation and communication skills.
Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask in a fastmoving environment with shifting

- priorities and changing requirements.

Thinks strategically and tactically to make program and projects successful through consensus and team building skills.
Builds and maintains strong, trustbased relationships across the organization; Creates a shared sense of direction and community among the teams.
Able to lead as well as function as a member of a program or project core team.
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty.
Partners with Finance and Program Leads to structure and oversee the program/project budget. Ability to travel to Wiley locations as needed.
