Swissnex in Brazil's goals are to build in-depth knowledge of the Brazilian innovation ecosystem, strengthen its local network of high-level representatives from academia and business, and implement out-of-the-box signature projects and events to ignite cross-continental conversations and showcase Swiss excellence in science and innovation.

As part of the Swissnex in Brazil team, you, together with your counterpart in Rio de Janeiro, are expected to take full ownership of projects involving Swiss-Brazilian research and education collaboration.

You are expected to creatively and proactively imagine possible projects and collaborations, set up the project and budget plan, and realize and post-process them.

You are also the main contact in São Paulo for academic partners and work on expanding the network of potential contacts for Swiss partners.

• Develop strategic partnerships with Brazilian and Swiss stakeholders to build networks and programs in the state of São Paulo and beyond
• Facilitate and support academic relations between Brazilian & Swiss institutions and academiaindustry partnerships in São Paulo and beyond
• Responsible for the implementation of existing and future academic programs. Implement and monitor existing mandates with Swiss higher education institutions. Propose and help to acquire new mandates based on the overall strategy.
• Explore and promote new funding opportunities for Brazilian-Swiss collaboration in research in partnership with the Swiss Embassy
• Contribute to Swissnex communication channels through articles, videos, etc.

• Overall responsibility for program conception for thematic focus areas, including planning, management, and controlling within the annual planning of Swissnex in Brazil's activities.
• Plan promotion and visibility strategy for programs with the communications team. Provide content for digital and analog communications.

• Undertake projects in collaboration with the Swissnex network and the Swiss network in Brazil to promote Brazilian-Swiss S&T collaborations
• Manage relevant mandate activities with the Swissnex network

• Support the CEO in annual and strategic planning (LdM) of the organization's activities
• Plan and define the right mix between events, desk research, and mandate implementation
• Support with administrative tasks within Swissnex in Brazil

• Graduate of higher education institution. Masters or Ph.

• 5+ years experience of work in international academic relations
• Existing academic network in São Paulo a plus
• Project and event management experience a plus
• International / Swiss experience a plus
• Familiarity with at least one Swiss national language a plus
• Skills_
• Fluency in English and Portuguese; Swiss national language a plus
• Proven organizational skills

• Compensation based on local salary benchmarks
• Brazilian work permit or citizenship required
