About our client


You will work with a local Sydney new home builder established in 1994 with a vision to design and build new homes of quality and excellence.


What are the daily tasks?

  • Keeping track of all payments and expenditures, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Maintaining historical records
  • Paying vendors by scheduling paychecks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor inquiries regarding finance.
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Continuing to improve the payment process
  • Other adhoc duties as required
  • Prepare monthend journals for Kurmond Group monthly accounts.
  • Bank reconciliations of multiple accounts for multiple entities
  • Prepare monthly BAS workings for Kurmond Homes & Trust entities.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts for multiple entities
  • Fortnightly payroll processing & monthly commissions
  • Prepare workings for payroll tax lodgment & other statutory reporting.
  • Maintain a fixed asset register.
  • Assist with weekly cash flow forecast.
  • Supervise accounts receivable & accounts payable functions.
  • Organize weekly payment runs for multiple entities.
  • Managing and reconciling intercompany transactions
  • Assist with the preparation of the monthly reporting pack.
  • Assist in Year-End financial reporting, statutory compliance & lodgment.
  • Assist with the annual financial audit.
  • Coordinate with our external accountants on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Coordinate the implementation/update and monitoring of accounting and financial systems.

Requirements:


  • Finance or Economics
  • Business Studies
  • Accounting
  • 3 years' experience as Assistant accountant /Accountant
  • 2+ years accounts payable experience
  • Previous experience or knowledge of Construction Industry not essential but highly regarded
