    Job Profile / Activities:The Safety Operations Consultant is responsible for supporting our districts and dealers across Latin America in their transformation from reactive organizational compliance to proactive, safetyfirst culture. Leveraging leading indicators and continuous improvement principles, this position will influence topdown, bottomup and interdepartmental focus to help eliminate live work and enable sustainable capacity and capability improvements to meet 2026 services growth goals and exceed customer expectations.
  • Conducting operational safety assessments with District and Dealer Personnel to develop improvement action plans and gap resolution initiatives to proactively address/mitigate risk, increase nearmiss reporting and reduce Recordable Injury Frequency (RIF).
  • Presenting operational safety performance and progress to District Managers, Vice Presidents of Distribution and interdepartmental leadership, highlighting opportunity and support needs.
  • Coaching and mentoring District Field Reps and Dealer Service Personnel in the areas of safety operations, including but not limited to:
  • RIF and near-miss analysis across all areas of the business (parts, shop and field).
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) policies and best practices.
  • Risk avoidance and/or mitigation tactics.
  • Incident investigation and reporting processes.
  • Providing operational safety training to Dealer Leadership and Personnel.
  • Coordinating with Global Service and Cat Safety Services teams to develop and enhance programs and offerings.
  • Ensuring projects related to organizational safety are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and overall strategy.

Basic Qualifications**:


Education:
Bachelor's degree


Experience:6+ years of experience with dealers and/or within the construction industry; previous project management experience with proven results in planning and follow-up.


Language:
Advanced English and Spanish


Travel:
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of working time


Behavioral skills:

Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, and interpersonal skills to successfully achieve challenging goals across Caterpillar and dealer organizations; Desire to work in a fast-paced environment requiring significant multi-tasking; ability to work remotely and independently; ability to effectively influence at all levels of dealer organizations (executives to front line).
