Tax Manager

Responsibilities:


  • Ability to effectively coordinate and interact with accounting and regional tax team as well as external consultants as necessary.
  • Preparing quarterly reports, interim and annual tax provision calculations; validating tax balance sheet accounts; advising on the tax impact of new accounting standards under the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and USGAAP; advising on tax disclosures in the financial statements; reviewing existing tax accounting and reporting processes and recommending areas of improvement to ensure efficiency and accuracy; providing qualified members of our team on a secondment basis to help you manage tax processes.
  • Strongly knowledge of corporate income tax and accounting.
  • Responsible for accurately preparing and filing tax documents.
  • Responsible to develop tax strategies and policies that help the client or business maintain compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Work to identify tax problems and propose solutions and work inhouse for a business or work as a consultant for multiple clients.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
  • Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
  • Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting or law.
  • Fluency in English (must have). Fluency in Spanish is a differential.
  • Minimum of 5year experience in big four and/or prior experience US companies (is a plus).
  • Extensive individual/corporate/partnership tax knowledge.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Familiarity with local federal, state and local and international reporting requirements.
  • Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks and the tasks of other tax team members.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as the ability to work well with stakeholders and communicate the benefits of tax initiatives.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
