    Job Description Position Description:

    Director, Business Development Responsible for leading and executing business development and commercial activities which support overall our Company's strategic and business objectives.

    Leads or supports internal and external Corporate, our Manufacturing Division, and HH evaluations in licensing, supply, distribution, co-marketing, acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring business relationships.

    Acts as the main liaison for our Manufacturing Division in supplier or customer interactions for pharmaceutical and vaccine products and/or services.

    The incumbent is responsible for managing cross-functional teams for due diligence assessments.

    Also required are formal report-outs to our Research & Development Division, Human Health, and our Manufacturing Division Senior Leaders.

    Executes business development and commercial activities, evaluating and implementing licensing, acquisition, supply, distribution, co-marketing, divestiture, and re-structuring business relationships.

    Collaborates closely with our Research & Development Division, and Corporate Business Development, Legal, our Manufacturing Division areas such as Finance, External Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Technology, Analytical, Commercialization, and Operations, as well as our Research & Development Division Process, Analytical, and CMC Regulatory groups.
    Defines, assesses, and presents business analyses for potential transactions needing manufacturing input.

    Serves as the central point of contact between our Manufacturing Division and all Company departments to ensure proper manufacturing input is included in transactions by identifying risks, mitigation strategies, and value drivers.

    Additionally, ensures post-contract execution commitments are known for our Manufacturing Division to fulfill new responsibilities post-transaction.

    Expertise in negotiating supply and technical contracts influencing our Manufacturing Division and serving as a key team member in any team involving a manufacturing/supply element.

    Analysis involves resource requirements, supply, inventory, demand management, product costs, intellectual property, quality, capital needs, environmental, safety and industrial hygiene, inventory, production plan, compliance and financial reviews.

    Ensures smooth transition of assigned licensing agreements to the appropriate our Research & Development Division or our Manufacturing Division support areas.

    Supports the LATAM Regional Business Development activities and coordinates business cases enabling the sale of our Company's Commercial Products and related Tech Transfers.

    Works closely with the LATAM Corporate BD Team, HH Commercial Leads, and our Manufacturing Division Value Chain Management, GSEC (Global Science, Engineering & Commercialization) and Quality groups.



    Position Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree


    Preferred:
    Graduate degree is desirable in Business, Supply Chain Management, Science, or Engineering related disciplines


    Required Experience and Skills:

    Minimum 12+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Technology, Global Procurement, Lean - Six Sigma and/or related business areas.

    Must have knowledge of our Manufacturing Division organization and possess strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
    Experience in negotiating contracts with third parties is essential. Experience in negotiating manufacturing and supply terms is highly desired.
    Proven experience leading cross-functional teams is essential.
    Previous third-party commercial experience is highly desired.
    Must be accomplishment oriented, possess a proactive approach, have the ability to influence without authority, and operate effectively in an ambiguous/changing environment

    The position requires a solid understanding of our Manufacturing Division divisional strategy and objectives, key company processes, and a general grasp of financial and manufacturing processes / issues.

    Compliance with organization policies, procedures, and guidelines is a must when carrying out job functions.

    Supports LATAM Regional Business Development and oversees creation and review of business cases to facilitate sale of Commercial Products and related Tech Transfers.

    Collaborates with various internal teams to ensure the success of partnerships' implementation.
    Handles assigned project activities and tasks with minimal supervision.
    Acts in accordance with all Company policies and guidelines for job execution.

    Supports the LATAM Regional Business Development activities and coordinates the creation and review of business cases that enable sale of our Company's Commercial Products and related Tech Transfers.

    Effective September, employees in office-based U.S. positions will adopt a Hybrid work model. This entails three days on-site per week, typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and either Monday or Thursday, with remote work on Fridays unless business requirements dictate otherwise.

    Final salary decisions will reflect additional factors beyond the estimate provided. This may include but not be limited to the chosen candidate's skills, experiences, and education qualifications.


    Expected salary range:
