DuPont is looking for a Packaging Buyer to join the Global Procurement team in Latam.

The Packaging Buyer will work directly with the Global Category Manager - GCM to develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver significant value for our North American customers.

The buyer will work with respective site stakeholders to quickly identify and prioritize new projects, assemble bid packages, drive cost structure transformation and support revenue growth through Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), while supporting innovation, sustainability and actively managing market shifts.

Main responsibilities:

Manage a part of DuPont ́s North America Packaging portfolio.
Engage with regional teams across DuPont businesses to understand business and regional needs, forecast and demand.
Develop and drive category savings initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Ability to evaluate market facts and trends
Develop and execute multiyear unique commodity procurement strategies.
Identify and select suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms and conditions for packaging.
Manage supplier relationships (SRM) with key strategic suppliers and develop playbooks to define the working relationship. Drive delivery of best in class performance.
Engage in dispute resolution and conduct regular and disciplined client engagement for continuous improvement processes.
Deliver documented savings from bid processes, negotiations, and innovative savings opportunities to meet business requirements and procurement organization objectives.
Manage communications with suppliers and serve as key point of contact for DuPont businesses on contractual matters.
Maintain suppliers and commodity strategies in the appropriate databases.
Engage internal stakeholders at DuPont plants and within Global Procurement

Main requirements:

Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Engineering or related curriculum
Proficient in use of personal computers and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint). Advanced excel skills preferred.
Relevant buying experience is preferred.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred.
Strong negotiation, organization and management abilities.
Detail oriented, demonstrated analytical capabilities.
Excellent verbal and writing skills (English).
Strong problem solving and strategic analysis skills. Able to conduct complex analysis such as Total Cost of Ownership, EVC, Net Present Value.
Packaging Category experience base is a significant plus
Ability to manage multiple project tasks and category portfolio to quickly initiate changes in the plan when appropriate.
Ability to effectively interact with and influence people at all levels and varied cultures within and outside of company.
